Position Description: Delivery Lead

PenBay Solutions has developed the InVision software suite to cohesively address a full range of facility management needs, from strategic portfolio planning and management, to day-to-day operations, maintenance and security. InVision brings the visualization and analytical power of GIS (geographic information systems) to facility and public safety data and workflows, helping customers more easily conceptualize information to substantiate decisions and identify new opportunities that support their organization’s strategic objectives.

Our Delivery Team is focused on providing high-quality technical services, and we do so in direct support of the sale and implementation of InVision. All members of our Delivery Team maintain a high-degree of customer service both within PenBay as we collaborate with our colleagues and externally with our customers and business partners.

Responsibilities:

The Delivery Lead will lead all technical aspects of project execution and may work with, and delegate tasks to, other members of the Delivery Team.  More specifically, the Delivery Lead is responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Gathering, validating, and documenting customer requirements.
  • Identifying, documenting, and communicating potential gaps between customer requirements and InVision to our Product Development Team.
  • Developing technical architecture and solution design documentation.
  • Standing up new servers and related infrastructure in on-premise and cloud hosted environments.
  • Installing and configuring ArcGIS Enterprise applications (ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, SDE).
  • Installing and configuring InVision facilities management software.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues at the database, application, and web tiers of a solution; including but not limited to database permissions, triggers, and schema, ArcGIS for Server services, security, performance, web server certificates, Microsoft IIS settings, and authentication.
  • Conducting data quality assessments on tabular, CAD, BIM, and GIS data.
  • Assisting with data development and data quality improvement activities.
  • Installing, configuring, and monitoring the execution of various data interoperability tools.
  • Providing training and technical transfer to administrators and end users.
  • Developing and maintaining system documentation (e.g., architecture diagrams, administrative procedures, workflows) as needed based on customer requirements.
  • Providing software demonstrations and walkthroughs to customers and end users.
  • Providing ongoing technical support by fielding, triaging, and completing helpdesk tickets.
  • Maintaining and sustaining customer systems, databases, and applications
  • Identifying and delegating tasks to technical support staff and junior project team members.
  • Supporting business development efforts as requested.
  • Travel up to 25% may be required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, GIS, Information systems, or a related field, is required.
  • 8+ years of work experience in the field of GIS or information systems is required.
  • S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a secret security clearance is required.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Recent technical experience in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, RDBMS databases, Windows Operating System, and Web-based Application installation and configuration is required.
  • Must have recent technical experience with CAD desktop tools.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot technical issues and either resolve them or provide a technical, accurate, and complete description of the problem for others to assist in resolving.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of successful project execution.
  • Must be able to work productively while remote from customers and other team members.
  • Must be able to communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Must be proactive, with the ability to self-start and multitask between projects.
  • Construction, facilities, or facilities management experience is a plus.
  • Recent technical experience with BIM desktop tools is a plus.
  • Cloud-based experience, especially Amazon Web Services, is a plus.

Position Description: Technical Project Manager

Responsibilities:

The Technical Project Manager provides overall leadership and management of PenBay customer projects, using a combination of experience, skills, tools, techniques, and resources to ensure successful project execution. The Technical Project Manager will provide leadership and technical guidance to project team members and delegate tasks accordingly. The Technical Project Manager will work with PenBay’s Account Managers to ensure that customer expectations are met while staying within the scope of the project. Further, the Technical Project Manager will seek out additional opportunities with the accounts he/she is working with throughout the execution of a project. More specifically, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Planning, managing, controlling, and reporting on project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Forecast utilization requirements and work with the PenBay Director of Product Delivery to properly resource projects across the company.
  • Administrative duties such as invoice preparation and aging follow-up, project set-up in the Company’s administrative system, creating work authorizations for project staff, and maintaining contracts and orders in Salesforce.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact between PenBay Solutions and customer points of contact for project execution. Maintaining a positive customer relationship and reporting to the appropriate Account Manager should customer relationship issues arise.
  • Setting and managing customer and company expectations related to product capabilities and project status.
  • Identifying and managing opportunities and risks.
  • Providing oversight of technical project tasks to project team members and sub-contractors.
  • Gathering, validating, and documenting customer requirements and ensuring that those requirements are within the contracted scope of the project.

  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of successful project execution.
  • Must be able to work productively while remote from customers and other team members.
  • Must be able to communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Must be proactive, with the ability to self-start and multitask between projects.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and training staff a plus.
